I have a 1999 20.5K chassis. As you can see in my pic, the bar is not close to the diff at all. Are your bushings in good shape?

I put new bushing on about 500 miles ago.

The chf is done in my pic. How is yours different? What size chassis do you have?

Mine would hit on the differential. Are your front and rear sway bar links the same lenght? Mine are the same length. I was going to swap the the links but they turn out to be the same lenght. If I remember correctly my links were 10 inches long. I also have the 20500 chassis. If I have no appointment tomorrow, I drive over compare your picture and mine (RV is in storage, wife has cancer, she is doing well but we can't travel much at the moment).

Cheap Handling Fix

I lengthened my front links. Rears are stock.

Being the same year of chassis, yours should be identical to mine.

this is a 1999 F53 20,500# you can see in the photo the sway bar is at a pretty good angle and there is almost zero room between the differential and the bar.

Cheap Handling Fix

I wonder why mine has more clearance. I also have a 1999 20.5K chassis, but my pic is definitely different looking.

I will measure my links tomorrow, but they are stock on the rear.

A picture really does say a thousand words. I was looking at the angle of the sway bar links. I wonder if they are mounted at the top at different points, one being closer to the ends of the sway bar.

Why don't you just add a plate as shown in this thread??? http://www.irv2.com/forums/f23/chf-r...es-281446.html

Disconnect both links, level the SB and add a plate that will allow you to bolt/ connect the links without raising the SB. It's that simple. If you want just drill two holes one for stock and one for the CHF. Or do as I did and add some additional holes to make an adjustment.

I think making and adding a 1/2" plate would be much cheaper and just as effective as spending the $$$$ to extend the links. JMO

Do go down to post #6 because I changed the initial design and the SB is now level.

I looked while I was under there... I was in a hurry and couldn't get any good pictures in the lighting... There are no other possible mounting holes that I could see anywhere near the links on the frame side... the links are nearly vertical as is... longer links would do the trick for sure... looks pretty stiff like it is to me... I drove it 700 miles home when I purchased it in January 2015... the rear sway bar bushings were completely gone! Not even a trace of rubber on the clamps... that was one of the very first things I did was add the polyurethane bushings and WOW what a difference... it was actually drivable... I couldn't believe the difference it made... my tire pressures ranged from 40 to 120 psig... it was gut wrenching to drive! I had been awake for two days and didn't get sleepy driving it home... it was a handful...

Boondockin, can you measure the length of your links as well.

It is odd seeing as we both have the same year and size of chassis, yet my links look much lower than the leaf spring compared to yours.
