If a Ford dealership will do it, it can't be unsafe. They could get sued.

I have 2011 Allegro QBA....do I need replacement parts to make this mod? I don't see z bars on either from or back, from what I read they won't be there in models of this date, right? All I would have to do is unbolt move to inner hole and rebolt, to both front and back?

You are correct. You may need a small jack to rotate the bar in the bushings to line up the hole. Some have done this using a lever to move it.
Be sure to check your bushings, rears are sometimes worn out. And torque the bolts to 66 ft lbs.

Anyone know what a Ford garage charges to do the CHF? I'm heading to Key West from Ohio. Running out of time waiting for some decent weather to a D.I.Y. I'd have to do it outside. I have a 2002 Winnebago Brave 36M.

I would guess 1 to 2 hours at their prevailing hourly rate. Make a few calls and ask if they know what you are talking about and cost estimate would be my suggestion.

It's a shame you can't DIY. It takes maybe 10 minutes to do the front once you have the right sockets and maybe a jack in case you need to lift one end of the bar up a bit.

unfortunately my MH is stored outdoors and only one weekend before we leave. Tomorrow and Tuesday look good but I have to work, more snow coming Wednesday. I read most of the posts and am confident I could do it but laying outside in 20 to 30 degree weather is not my cup of tea. Plus not being a mechanic (just handy) it's going to take more time for me. I'll call the local Ford garage but my fear is they wont know what I'm talking about.

My guess is your dealer won't be cooperative or cheap.
I did the very first CHF in a campground in Alaska. It's not hard, just two wrenches and maybe a little jack or a crowbar to move the bar a lite bit to line up the holes.
You could just head south and do the fronts when you hit warm weather.

I've read where some people have had it done at the dealer for $100-$200.

Where in OH are you. We live in Gahanna next to the airport. Bring it over and I'll do it for you.

too cold for CHF

I'm guessing jmckinley is right: your biggest problem at a dealer is likely to be explaining what you want and convincing them to do it. I'd head south and do the CHF when weather permits.

I had the local Ford dealer do ours when we took it in for an oil change. I don't remember what it cost but it wasn't a lot, maybe an hour labor. They did front and back.

We only had 40 miles on our coach and I did it in the CG in Forest City Iowa before we left for home last August. R&R 4 bolts, re-align holes putting the head of the bolt next to the leaf spring and tighten down. That's it. If they are not tight enough you'll know but 66 FT. LBS if you have a torque wrench.
