TeJay, I just got back from the truck alignment shop and decided to leave things as is. We went online to the Ford F-53 chassis spec's and for my chassis, 24K the castor specs for both sides are 4 degrees plus or minus 1 degree. Mine were 4 and 3.75 so I chose to leave it that way. I was a little high on air pressure so I knocked it down to 100 from 108. Was going to take a trip with the wife for the fourth to see how it handles now but one slide will not extend. Had to use emergency procedures to retract it, now it will not go out. I now have a list of 16 items to be fixed by the dealer including stairs that won't fully retract. There is leaking hydraulic fluid in the area. Getting more and more fed up with this unit..no excuse for the problems we are having for a 175K plus gas coach.
Getting started with assembling and fabricating a rear trac bar. thanks for your advice

I have a 2014 F-53 22k with the 19" tires I have done the CHF and it is great. I am now installing the Safe-T-Steer. That being said I have not seen anything on tire size making any kind of difference in ride or the CHF. Went to stupid dealer and saw a 2015 22k with the 22" tires and feel in love. I guess it is stupid me. But does anyone know if the 19.5" or the 22" tires have a different ride or handling? Just a question hate to have to do everything to a new coach I just did to this one. But, the CHF is cadillac. Can I say that?

I also have the 19.5 and love them. I think the bigger tires are needed for heavier frames. I also like the fact that when it's time to replace them, it's cheaper.

I have the 22 and a half inch tires and I wanted the 19 and a half but my motorhome came with 22 and a half. I'm pretty sure that they do ride better than the 19 and a half but I hate the thought of having to buy new ones.

We ordered our unit and I wanted the 22.5" tires because I had heard that they rode better. We had a 1999 with 19.5" tires so I wanted an improvement. WBGO said that they wouldn't fit under the 18,000 LB chassis. The 22.5" tires are used on the bigger chassis's because of the higher weight ratings.

After we got the unit I also found out the the 22.5" tires are very heavy, require 450 lbs of torque to tighten the lug nuts and changing the tire would be very difficult. Glad we got the 19.5" tires. I can torque the lugs (150 FT/LBS) and with a lever and a wedge rotate the tires myself. We still don't have a spare but that's OK.

Also, sway control is sway control. The CHF should/does improve sway control on any chassis. One individual reported that he didn't notice any change on his Adventurer when he did the CHF on the rear. Maybe it only helped less than 5% and it was barely noticeable but it's still some improvement and it's cheap.

Have you ordered the Koni shocks yet? That's what is going to give you a better ride. Poop or get off the pot

They won't take that (poop) for payment. Did I mention that the Feds got us for over 10-G's MORE in April. That put a crimp in the spending.

I hear ya! I'm still waiting to free up some funds to get the rears. DW wasn't too happy with the cost for the TruCenter...which BTW, worth every penny.

I just ordered a new class A MH, Georgetown XL 350 and want to start by doing this modification.

I have already ordered a Safe T Plus and I am about to order the Hellwig adjustable swaybar end links. Do I need two (2) pairs, front and rear ? Or only front or rear are needed? I will be receiving my new MH in 2 weeks and would like to be ready to do this mod for my first trip.

You only need to extend the front end links, not the rears. I did a lot of research and waited until taking the plunge on a steering stabilizer. I'm glad I went with the TruCenter. Being able to adjust on the fly is a must have for me. Once you get your coach, load it up, get it weighed, and set the correct tire pressures.

Why an alignment if you just change the sway bar position ?

New member here. Just want to thank John McKinley and all the others who have posted info regarding the CHF. I did front and rear on my 2012 Winnebago Vista 30T and it made a world of difference! Thanks!!!

Your alignment will change when you load up your RV. Besides, who knows if it was done correctly at the factory or was it altered before you received it.
