Did 1997 F53 come with steering stabilizer?

Howdy- I have a 1997 Rexhall Aerbus built on a F53 chassis. I don't see that I have a front steering stabilizer and am wondering if this year chassis was supposed to come with one or if perhaps it was removed by the previous owner? It steers very well but has a little wander to it and I was considering adding a stabilizer but was curious if it was supposed to have one? I also don't know if a Safe-T-Steer or Road Master are considered "steering stabilizers" or if these are devices that would be installed in addition to a stabilizer. Thank you for your advice and help!

You do not use a steering stabilizer when you have a Safe-T-Steer. They mount about in the same place on your tie rods.

Yes it should have come from Ford with a steering Damper.

Thanks Bill for the information and diagram. Very helpful! I'll have to crawl under and take another look.

My 99 F53 did not come from factory with stabilizer. I installed a Blue Ox Tru Center works good but expensive. Beside Safe-T-Steer there is there's also Steer Safe.

My '97 Bounder F53 chassis had a steering dampener (looks like a big shock absorber).
