E350 11500 and 12500 difference??

Why are some E350 chassis rated for 11500 and others 12500? Coachmen has the 21rs at 12500 and Winnebago has the 22m at 11500 and both are the same floorplan and about the same weight. With the Winnie I would need to go to the E450 for my load but with the Coachmen the E350 appears to be ok for me.

Ford builds that chassis with different spring ratings, 2 wheel base lengths 158" & 176", and with 2 engine options.
Looks like Winnebago & Coachmen chose different chassis options.

Ford class C

I have a 26' Coachman on the E350 with the long chassis and it is just adequate for my load. I run around 12000 most of the time with max air pressure in the tires. It handles pretty good, some wind sway and movement from semis passing a bit faster by manageable, I also tow a 3600 car on a dolly most of the time.
