Im just going to watch and maintain my Exhaust Manifolds. Tighten, spray occasionally, and spend 10 min every few months to maintain them.

What is the cost of cooking an engine? Last I heard it 5K for the motor, 5K to replace and about 1 week of down time. The headers pull the heat away and for hot places like Arizona, Texas and Florida you can really produce some heat. Just say'in. Plus less heat will give you higher reliability. I have seen exhaust leaks cook spark plug wires and that take you out of the game for a bit.

You are right much better for the motor, less weight and runs cooler.
Plus BANKS makes some of the best headers I have ever used.

yes, common problem on v-10 ford. I posted earlier. I actually put a cheap set of DNA headers on my motorhome. 17 bolts broke off during disassembly. (14 helicoils, 1 bushing insert) 5 original studs are still in the heads. They aren't Banks & they were cheap. including Y pipe. I had to add an extension pipe piece to get then to the CVAT conv. I also used double header gaskets. thick asbestos type gasket not the factory shim steel. yes, I noticed a power difference. I had to wrap (with tech tape) the left header since it had no heatshield to protect the brake line & wire harness. My mtrhome is 2000 pace arrow on 99 f-53 chassis.

Can't get link to work: here they are on ebay $283.89
