F53 2001 Southwind Motorhome Rear Parking Lamps not working SOLVED

I have noticed that suddenly rear and rear side parking lights or running lights quit working on my 2001 Ford F53 chassis Southwind motorhome.

1.Front parking lamps are working.
2.Front side parking lamps are working
3.Instrument panel lights are working.
4.All related fuses and relays are good.

Issue was in rear side wiring of factory connectors C402 and C403 in the area just at the rear end of the fuel tank on the driver side. See pictures. Issue was not with factory connector but with wiring harness installed by body maker to connect to the rear lamps of the motorhome to the factory harness.

F53 2001 Southwind Motorhome Rear Parking Lamps not working SOLVED

Next to those connector there are many wires with labels on it for use in different situation. On this motorhome out of all those wire only four wire are connecter with the rear lamps of this motorhome. I noticed that one of the wires was oxidized and broken disconnected. This wire was for the rear park lamps. I repaired it and all rear lights are working now as it should be once again.

I was lucky that I noticed a taped area of this harness about 1 to 2 feet towards the rear of the chassis. The harness at this area was thicker than the other part of this harness. I touched and felt some connectors under the tape, I removed the tape and find out the oxidized broken wire. I have read on internet that many F53 owner have the same issue. I hope this will help others and will save time.

Rest see in the pictures attached.

One of the reasons I will only use adhesive lined wire crimps whenever used anywhere on my boat or other than on the inside crimps on the rv, moisture proof!

Rightly said,
I wish companies who made or making these motorhomes would have considered this.
