2005 F53 chassis with battery testing at 12.75 volts all the way to where it enters the main fuse box. When I turn on the ignition I get nothing, no lights, no buzzer, no gauges, nothing. I push the switch to start with the house batteries and it starts right up and everything works. All stuff running from the alternator I guess after engine is running.

Any idea what is going on that I can not utilize the chassis battery? Is there a main fuse or something that has blown?

Not stranded or anything but looking for help.

Test the fuses. Should be one of the big ones.

Check your ground on the chassis battery. Also check the hot connection. You can have voltage until you put a heavy load on a circuit, but lose it under heavy load. You are using the same circuit when starting with the house batteries. If it were a start system problem, the house system would not work.

Could it be a faulty chassis battery disconnect solenoid?

The battery disconnect switches inside the coach were bypassed and replaced with another manual disconnect switch. I have checked power and confirmed that the power is coming from the switch and going into the control center box. After prowling around I found some additional info for anyone that might be interested in this thread.

I still have not solved my problem and am interested in any input that might help. Not gonna touch it again until tomorrow.

Do you have an intellitec BCC (Battery Control Center) located on the front left side of your firewall?

If so, there's where both battery disconnects are located along with an isolator solenoid behind the circuit board.

Also on the inside bottom of the housing there's two circuit breakers you might check and see if any are tripped. Anyway that's the setup on our 2000 coach, the newer models may have a different type of BCC.

You just need to keep tracing the 12v supply until you find where it's interrupted, ferreting out electrical problems can be a real challenge.

Some time ago I had to replace a failed isolator solenoid on our coach.

It does have the BCC. After additional head scratching and voltage checking I am going to pass it on to someone with more knowledge and experience. I can start it from the house batteries for now and will use that until my appointment coming soon.
