F53 dash gauges

Dash gauges are difficult to see while daytime driving. I have been trying to find some led lights (1-4) to attach to the steering column to help with this. Gauges are easy to see during night time driving. Has anyone know of solution to this?
Thank you all in advance.
Alex

PS: I have turned up the brightness control, but doesn't help.

This is a common problem, and a quick search should find several related threads.

There are a couple of common solutions:
  1. Attach small, battery powered LEDs under the cluster overhang.

  2. Use an OBD2 based engine monitor to replicate the gauges where you can actually see them. UltraGauge and ScanGauge are two popular options. There are also bluetooth devices that display on a phone or tablet.

Regards,

Randy

Where did you connect the power for the led's? Are they 12v? What length? i really like this setup.
HAGD,

I installed a separate button and attached it to the CB power. The LEDs are 2 12" edge lit strips. I just pushed them under the edge of the outer dash between it and the clear plastic gauge cluster.
That reason for the switch on them is because I turn them off at night because yo don't need them then.
