Uhhhh, that didn't work for me... there weren't enough effective threads on the 5 quart oil bottle to securely fasten this tool, so it started leaking midway in the fill; made a mess out of it. So, next oil change I'll be trying the Harbor Freight fluid transfer pump.

I do the 1 qt at a time. I just have to watch how fast I pour the oil in. More than once the oil didn’t drain down the full tube faster than I was pouring it in and it backed up out the tube. I nice little mess right there!

I had to take the rubber gasket out and then screw it on the bottle. I have been doing it that way using quart Mobil 1 oil for 9 years (at least 20 oil changes)with no mess.
No problem, here, pouring from the 1 qt. bottles. I look for the smaller sized caps, the wide mouth bottles are more trouble. Just take it slow and be careful.
BTW - I always get the 5qt. jug price on the 1 qt. bottles. Just ask for it.

I got sick and tired of pumping the oil into the filler tube under the hood of my 2007 315SE, f53 Forrest River.
I now take the dog house cover off, remove the filler hose from the valve cover, place a long neck funnel into the pipe and pour the oil right out of the 5qt jug. Replace the filler hose, and done.
I'll never pump it in again.
