Fleetwood Tioga won't move into gear
Went to move our RV and it would not move into gear. Starts fine, sounds great but when husband put it into drive it would not move. We had the transmission replaced several years ago. Replaced the fuel rail sensor, and in-line fuel filter last year. We have moved and driven it since then. But it basically sat in our driveway most of last year, and this winter as we've been working on the interior.
Do not know about reverse as it sits pretty close to the end of the driveway and a tree on a downward slope so didn't want to risk it.
Would love anyone's ideas as to what could be wrong before calling a roving mechanic or having it towed.
Thanks

You can put your foot on the brake or (engage the E-brake) also then put it into reverse. If it's working it will engage and you'll feel it. With your foot on the brake (and E-brake) it won't move an inch.
When you contact a technician you can at least tell him/her it does or does not engage into reverse.
Did anybody check the fluid level by chance??? Maybe it leaked out for some unknown reason?? That will be the first think a tech will check. Remember it has to be running to check it.

It sounds to me like your brakes are locked up from sitting . you can try to rock it back and forth or get underneath and hit your rear drums and front calipers with a hammer a couple of time's. you may also have to let the trans mission get up to running temp and check the fluid level .hope this help's

This rig should have 4 wheel disc brakes. I don't recall ever hearing of disc brakes sticking.
If the parking brake was left on for a long time, it may be stuck. Shifting between foward and reverse while watching the drive shaft to see if it turns slightly would be a test. If the drive shaft turns, the parking brake is not holding it.

It's definitely a gas issue, once in gear it's not recognizing that he's giving it gas, the engine just stays idle. Does not rev or respond.

Could be brake over gas condition or a bad throttle pedal.
Brake over throttle is when you try to step on the gas while your foot is on the brake. The brake pedal may be stuck down. Pulling up on the pedal will confirm that.
The throttle is electric, so a bad throttle sender or wiring will not send the proper signal to the engine. Look for mice chewing on the wires.
