Ford F53 Clock Spring

I have a Ford F53 2007 Georgie Boy Pursuit.

Cruise and now horn not working so suspect clock spring needs replacing.

Where can I buy one from as it seems to be impossible?

Part number 8U9Z14A664A

Any ideas?

Regards

David

If it's not available new, then find one on a ford truck from the same era in a junk yard. You might have to change the connector.

Thanks for the reply. I’m in the UK so finding a breaker is going to be difficult.

I assume you have the Smartwheel with multiple functions on the wheel in addition to those you mentioned.

Rather than focusing in on the clock spring, I suggest you first search for the troubleshooting manual for the Smartwheel and work through the process. There are several other things that could cause your issue, including simple things like cleaning/reseating electrical connections.

I have experienced the malfunctions you described (and various others) a number of times, and the cause never yet has been a failed clockspring.

It just has the cruise controls and the horn. Nothing else.

When my CC and horn stopped i went to my local ford dealer. They ordered it and honored the online price from another dealer. CC and horn working fine now.
