ford f53 repair electric /vacuum

Hello all you usa chums, Would any of you have an idea where I can get a repair electric manual for my Ford F53 1997 ? Its a 460 V8 naturally aspirated:
My problem at the moment is that when the engine is turned off it wont re start for usually around 90 seconds ??? This I know is no spark since I quickly had a spare spark plug to test when the fault occured (usually mostly only when engine is warm !!! Regards from UK

I don't quite get how you tested for spark with a spare spark plug but we'll go with that you are pretty sure there is no spark when the issue arises. So you need to troubleshoot the ignition system probably. I imagine there are books but I know of online sources for free. Ford used the exact same ignition setup on a variety of engines so the setup on a 7.5 is basically the same as on a 5.0 or a 5.8, etc on whatever kind of Ford. As long as you are close the same the same year.

THANK you so much for your reply.I had a spark plug permanently strapped to earth with a monkey wrench then used a spare HT lead from one of the 8 out of the distr to the spare plug ..thanks for your help .What concerns me is complete failure in the wrong place on the wrong day etc ...Im very ofay with electrics but do need a circuit diagram for this one ..Regards sir

Just spitballing but in the far recesses of my brain I seem to recall that this can be associated with the coil in the distro?

I'd prefer to see some actual testing done, but yes, the pickup coil in the distributor can indeed have such issues. Most common are problematic TFI modules. But when you are in Britain I suspect just grabbing parts from the parts store and swapping them to see what happens to be a bit more difficult and expensive than it is over here.

Yes it is a bigger problem for us RV^ ers here to get the parts ,,especially specific odd requirements,most regular service common items we can get overnight ,but sometimes I order direct from the states or order from specialist uk dealers of which there is around 5 of ,,and this can take up to 10 days ,then sometimes the revenue charge tax on new more expensive parts !!
