Gearbox Oil Type

1999 Triton v10.

Can not find the posts re which oil to replace in our gearbox, so asking again.

What type Auto oil do we replace with, We possibly think Dextron 3 was mentioned but just checking .

The problem with that is that MERCON was discontinued in 2006. MERCON V is the replacement for MERCON. Use MERCON V.

Note: There is also a MERCON LV. ****DO NOT**** use this in your transmission! It will destroy it.
