Glove Box

New to the RVing and bought a new Class C on a Ford E-450 V-10. Hate to sound like an idiot, but checked all my manuals (including online) and can't find anything about what's in the glove box. By that I refer to the "tab" on the right inside of the glove box that says "pull". As I'm not a cat nor a teenager any more, have been reluctant to pull before I know what I'm pulling for.. Can anyone please tell me what it's for and what it does?? Thanks!

I don't know about your ride, but on cars that might hide a fuse panel.

Did you know that at least one state, at one time, had a law that said you must actually have golves in your glove box?

Don't know what happened if you took 'em out and put 'em on.

Found the fusse box located somewhere else. In looking at sales videos RVs with E-450 chassis, they "show the glove box with the tab, but never mention it.

Pull it and see what happens. But don't be sitting in the passenger seat when you pull or you'll be ejected 200 feet into the air. LOL

I have a 2011 Four Winds 28Z F450.The tab in the glove box.Pull it down slid your owners manuel packet in,push the tab back up. It keeps it from sliding around in the glove box and it gives you extra room because it acts like a shelf. We learn from each other.Enjoy your new unit.

Jimmy: Thanks! Your post was spot-on. Pulling it down revealed a short tray in which the manual fit. The glovebox overall still isn't very large, but I'll take the space inside the cab area any day. Enjoy the RV life style and looking forward to a lot more.

My 2008 E450 Lexington has no glovebox

Can I get one from an updated year and put it in mine? Has anyone done it? Thanks in advance.
