I am considering ordering a new motorhome on the 26,000# Ford chassis.
Curious as to the ride. I am a little concerned that it may be a stiff riding chassis with the 17,500# rear.
Anybody driven one?

Thanks,
Bruce

looks like no one has the 26000 chassis. i just bought the 22k oford chassis and it rides smooth ,just like a trailways bus. it has the bilstein shocks but you would never know it. they must have changed their internal parts on the shocks, because thats all i ever read was that they rode hard.

I've test driven that chassis under a Damon Challenger 377. The ride was very good. Also test drove a Dolphin on the 2006 22k F53 for comparison. I think the Dolphin was coming close to the total weight; it seemed to bounce a bit more. The ride was so good we ordered a Daybreak 3575 for delivery in May 2008.

Welcome to the site. While you wait for your new MH check out the Damon owners section and post often.

Have just purchased a Damon Challenger 355 Platinum edition. Seems to ride good. No dish or pan rattle. Ford chassis, 26,000#;

davememt, you gotta give us more info than that. Have you had a MH before and if so, what chassis did you have? Tell us more about the ride and what kind of weight does it carry?
And, wecome to irv2.com. You job should you choose to except it, is to keep us updated on this chassis.!!

Actually a member just brought it to my attention that the Damon is on a 20,500 GVWR chassis. Not the 26K one. The GCVWR is 26,000.
