Hellwig Front Sway Bar

I recently installed a Hellwig front sway-bar on my 2011 Sightseer Winnie and it did eliminate some of the rocking on cornering. The only thing I'm concerned about is a slight clunking noise when I turn occasionally. It's raining now, so later I plan to crawl under and see if there's any visible problem. Perhaps I've over torqued or under torqued. It's very difficult to get a torque wrench in the front axle area. Anybody else experience this noise?

It did, but I've read many posts that the Hellwig sway bars greatly improved handling.

i have or maybe had the same kind of noise on ours, so i pulled the sway bar clamps and moved the bushings and put some lube on them and reclamped them back. i'll have to wait til the next trip to see if i have done any good. one rver on this forum said he tightened the leaf spring eye bolts a quarter turn and that eliminated the nosie.

Loose brackets

I found loose bolts for the leaf spring to frame mounting brackets. Needed 1/4 turn to stop banging. Check both ends.

Update: Just got back from a 400 mile round trip to Savannah. When I made slow sharp turns, I heard the "clunking" sound from the sway bar. I crawled under the MH and found a few loose bolts and tightened. Noticeable improvement on the return trip. I also noticed great improvement on the performance of the sway bar. The big trucks aren't pushing me around as much. Pirate: I'll take the bridge if you deliver.
