HELP - "Error" message- levelers won't work - F53 Thor Outlaw

2014 Thor Outlaw 37MD - F53 chassis:

Levelers won't go down. There is a message on the digital screen of this LCI Electronic Leveling system that reads:
"ERROR - Retract Timeout" and "Return Leveler for Service"

Is there something simple that I can check?
You all know the problems associated with "returning leveler for service", in that it is a trip a LOOOOONNNNG ways away for a fairly predictable run-around. Right?

Appreciate anyone's input.
Thanks.

Had the same thing happen to mine, you can resets the system but pushing all four jack buttons at the same time for approximately 15 seconds.

Hope this helps.

Our old 99 aint that fancy, but our levelers wouldnt retract one time as we were getting ready to pull out, so off to work I went. After I guess 30~45 minutes looking, scratching my head, my daughter says Daddy did you check the fuses with the owners manual in her hands. Come to find out, in the main control box up front & outside where both disconnect switches are located, was a 10 amp fuse blowed to the levelers, put a 15 in & not a problem since.
Not saying that could be your problem, just an idea to maybe check.

Our levelers have the exact same screen. This may have changed but we push LEVEL & RETRACT as the same time to re-set them!!

Ours is the same as Tejay's. On some models the time in the program between when you hit the "Retract" button and when the jack is supposed to hit the "home sensor" is so short the system sets an error code before all the jacks can retract. It happens more often when the weather is cold and the hydraulic fluid is more viscous.

If I recall correctly Lippert will reprogram the system if it's a continual problem. It's only happened to ours a couple times when the temperatures were below 0*F. We opted to just reset the system rather than try to find a competent dealer to do the reprogramming.

SOLVED!!

Thanks to all for the suggestions.
I checked the fuses -- all good.

Then I tried the combination suggested. None worked, but it led me to try other combos. Turns out "ENTER" + "RETRACT" did the trick.
Thanks again.

BTW, yes, when it reset, I could hear some jacks retracting a short distance, as if they had not gotten all the way up -- supporting HikerDogs' theory about the short time interval in retraction, leading to an ERROR code.

OOOppps!!! I apologize!!! I really did mean to say ENTER & RETRACT!! Really I did. I knew because I did it with two fingers at the same time and they were in easy reach. The important thing is you played with it and got it to work!!

So does "electronic leveling" mean they aren't hydraulic? We have a 2014 Thor too and ours are hydraulic. Interesting.

Nope, these are also hydraulic. I was just quoting the control panel, which is labeled, "LCI Electronic Leveling."

It's both,

The electronic controller runs the hydraulic system.

I have experienced 2 different failures, in both cases I called the Lippert technical help line listed in my manual and a rep talked me through it based on the error code. Very helpful and friendly, they even gave me the west coast number for more hours of access.
