Has anyone had repairs or replacement on a noisy Hydromax Brake Booster. I have that unit in my 2004 Damon Intruder and upon light pedal and hard there always seems to be the high pitched hissing sound. Their website talked about it being normal but it is really annoying and loud.

I've never had any noise from ours while engine running.

I agree with Jim.
The only time I noticed any noise is when the brakes are applied with the engine off. Then you hear the booster pump running.

Thanks for the feedback. Mine definately make the noise when engine off but I also get a high pitch squeel while driving.
I'll check with a ford fleet dealer and see if there is anything to be done.

98-22-4 this is the number of the TSB on the noise that these units make. It can be found at http://www.ford-trucks.com/tsb/tsb.php. You will have to join the site to see the full text, but it is free. I joined because I thought that it would be of help in the future. I just bought a 1999 Pace Arrow on a Ford chassis, and it also makes the noise, which sound like an air or vacuum leak.
