I will let Mor-Ryde know that I heard about them on this site. The $3,000 per axel quote in 2006 helps me put this in perspective. Thanks for the quick feedback.

I had the Koni FSD's installed and took a short trip. The original presumption was that upon installation these shocks would provide a better ride. Yes, they did. However, as my subject matter expert predicted, it still rides like a truck - but a nice riding truck. Going over joints and expansion strips, railroad tracks, nasty Indiana roads, seem to be less of a coffee spilling event. But, I would like it a bit better.

I am happy with the MH, and have it customized with features. A major upgrade to the suspension is cheaper than a new DP. So, I am investigating the Kelderman Air Ride system. Yes, it is about a $6K investment for both axles, but still cheaper than 20% down and higher payments on a new DP. So, a trip to Oskaloosa, IA for the installation is in the planning stages.

Another product "gauranteed" to give you a better ride is the Kelderman Ari Ride package.

Motorcoach - Air Ride Suspension Systems - Kelderman Manufacturing

It costs $2,200.00 for the front kit, and another $1,600.00 for the rear, plus installation. "Gauranteed" to give you a better ride. But then again if you spent over $4,000.00 to improve the ride and it didn't work would you admit it?

I had a set of koni FSD shocks installed last week and I'm happy with the result. I replaced 7 year old (with 20,000 miles) Koni adjustable shocks with the FSD shocks. The ride quality is much better over small bumps and tar strips. A geat deal of the impact from small bumps has been eliminated with the FSDs. For my needs it was worth the expense and i'd do it again.

I have a 2007 F53 under a 2008 Bay Star. When I leave the Shopping Malls
it sure leans over on the curve, but I feel I have a very good ride and no need to buy some other Brand at this time. On Mountain roads here in BC it drives nice and I feel good driving the F53. Got a little over 15,000 miles on it.

As a ser. mgr. I always reccommended air bags for the front of the F53. They are easy to install. (two holes to drill.) I have them on my coach. I have installed them on dozens of customer coachs. I never had a customer who didn't think it was a HUGE improvement in ride quality. We always used Ride Rite. Filled to 24 PSI.

What about raising the front end with jacks? Don't these bags have to be deflated? It's real easy to lift the front tires off the ground and not even know it.

The Ride Rite's do not have to be bled down when leveling. The reason you bleed down full air suspension systems is so you don't have to raise the coach so high.

How much are the Ride Rite's? I have tried new shocks and track bars and new tires. The only things that really help are a full water tank (its near the front) and lowering the tire pressure to 80, but the tire guy says thats a bad thing for wear and blow outs....

The list price is about $375.00 You might find them online cheaper.

AdventureRV. net has the fronts for F53 for $225 and rears for $244. Plus shipping.

They list the parts as:

Kathy, Your coach rides hard and tracks in grooves in part due to the tire size. I had an F53 2005 and had 19.5 tires. I installed a rear track bar and front steer. That fixed the tracking but the ride was still harsh. Traded up to an F53 2007 with the heavy chassis having 22.5 tires and the ride was so much better. 20,000 miles and the Koni;s are still fine. I think if you spend the 860.00 it will not change the ride. Just my opinion.
