Ignition input to BCC

I recently purchased a 2000 Forest River Windsong on a 1999 F53 chasis. It seemed to be working fine, but I did not like the radio the previous owner had put in it. (no bluetooth) When I replaced it I noticed that when they had installed their radio they ended up making a huge rat's nest of the wires in the dash. I cleaned it up as best I could when I installed my new radio. Unfortunately, when I put the dash back together the blower motor and the overhead fans weren't working. After days of searching I finally found the problem was not even in the dash. It was in the battery control center! (which in my RV is under the entrance stairs) There is a relay in there that uses an ignition input to activate and it then sends power to the blower motor and overhead fans as well as a couple other things I haven't figured out what they are yet. If I use a jumper wire I can get everything to work, but for some reason there is no input voltage when the ignition is in the run position. All the fuses and relays that I have checked have all been good. Any suggestions? Does anyone know where that input wire comes from. I can't seem to find a wiring diagram for that particular circuit.

Rats nest or not, if everything was working before the change to new radio, that is where I'd begin to look.

I’ve looked in the rat’s nest and couldn’t find the problem. And several other circuits that operate in the run position are working just fine, but not this one leg.

What LT said, it must be related. This seems like the problems people have after changing house batteries. One lead has slipped down before installing the new batteries. Best of luck.

It’ll have to wait until the weekend, but I’ll check it again. I have a little better of an idea of what I’m looking for this time rather than just blindly searching for something that doesn’t look right. I’ll let you know what I find.

I found it. There was a wire that had broken off at one of the splice connectors. Respliced it and it works! Thanks for your help! Now on to fix my slide out, but that’s another topic.
