Is this an urgent problem? On a trip do I have to fix now?
I was checking around this evening after about 2k miles of driving, and noticed what looks like maybe a new oil leak? Or some kind of leak starting on my passenger side towards the front of the motor.
Seems like something that needs fixed, but no idea how urgent this is. We are in Tucson now, heading back to home in Seattle where we have a good shop. Seems like maybe it could wait for that? But I don’t want to be unsafe.

Looks like a little leak on the valve cover gasket.
Enjoy your trip! Have it repaired when you have time!

If it really bothers you put a socket wrench on it and check if that one stud is at all loose. just check for tightness don't go cranking on it otherwise a slow valve cover gasket leak.

IMHO that doesn’t even qualify as a leak. A little seepage happens over time. Don’t sweat it.

Take some brake cleaner and spray it on there and clean it off with paper towels. Watch it over time and see if it persist. I wouldn't worry about it for now. As others said put a socket on and—gently—make sure it's snugged down.

Times 2. If it worries you, tighten the cover. Clean with brake cleaner and keep a eye on it. But you will not have a problem.

I' not sure I would ever fix that leak. That is a few drops of oil not even close to a teaspoon. Like others have said you might try to tighten it a little. On valve covers I use a quarter inch ratchet and then choke up on it. Good luck.

I don't call those leaks, I call it self renewing corrosion protection. If you want to see a leak come over to my house and I'll show you my driveway. Something to watch, but nothing to worry about.

You're likely losing more oil at the timing case cover below.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it makes a puddle on the ground when it's parked overnight .

I agree with everyone, finish your trip but...
I would check my oil at each fill up just in case.

Looks like seepage and nothing to worry about. Keep an eye on it and worryif it becomes worse.

Even Scotty Kilmer says not to worry about it unless it leaves oil on the ground when you park it.
