Location of plug to check rear end gear oil on 2021 Ford F53 chassis
I have a motorhome built on a 2021 Ford F53 24000 lb. chassis. I cannot find anything that looks like a plug that I am familiar with to check the level of the gear oil. I did find one threaded plug on the top of the axle housing on the passenger side of the pumpkin with a hose connected but was cautious about disconnecting it. Can anyone direct me? I could take a picture of what I found if that would help. This chassis was after the ones that were shipped with little or no gear oil. I don't want to assume it is OK without checking myself.

Generally, it is located on the rear of the differential, approximately 1/2 way up from the bottom. It may require a socket ratchet, or a crescent/pipe wrench, depending on the style of plug. What you saw with the small hose was the differential vent.
I found it. I overlooked the plug somehow the first time I was under the coach. It is located in front of the differential on the passenger side but in the area where the drive shaft enters the differential. It takes a 1/2 inch ratchet.
Easy to check once I found it. The plug was actually kind of loose. I snugged it up a bit. Hope this helps someone else out.
