Looking for ABS sensor

Ive had my ABS warning light on since last year. Finally got around to testing each sensor and found the R Rear sensor is bad. Ford wants $394.86 .. OUCH and they would have to special order.

Checked for the part at Rockauto, (rockauto didnt have a listing for the RR), Advance auto, Autozone, and Orilleys. They all list aftermarket sensors for under $100. No luck all out of stock from their suppliers. I'll keep checking back with them.

Would anyone know of another source for the sensor.

Right Rear 2008 f53 22K Chassis.

Thanks, Bruce

Out of curiosity, I checked autozone. They list a center speed sensor for $90 or individual rear sensors for an F53 less than 20,000 GVW at $20. Both are available locally in NM or delivered early next week.

I have found that if you change dealerships in the online ford parts website they all have different prices.

I don't know if this is the actual part number you are looking for, but the first screenshot is the price if you buy through Lakeland Ford in FL if you go through https://parts.ford.com. There may be other dealers with a lower price but it is difficult to know which ones to "price check".

The second screenshot is if you go to https://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com

On a side note: It is strange that the left rear is around half the price of the right rear...

Looks like the correct part but still $$$. At my Ford dealer Gary Yomans in Daytona beach i get a 20% discount. i asked one time and they gave it to me.

Ill wait till local parts stores can get it.

The single sensor above the rear differential goes to an earlier year.

I have a 22,000 Chassis.

This is the part from autozone. Trying to put it in the cart doesn't work. Went to the store(s) to verify. out of stock, backordered.

Well when Autozone shows they have something that's hard to find AND list it a lot cheaper than elsewhere that's almost as good as a written guarantee that it won't fit/work.
So by it being out of stock it at least is saving you from those dashed hopes and disappointment. Not much of a bright side, I admit.

abs sensor

Try autoparts international they have a big line of hard to find parts and also work with another comp called world pack they have a lot of factory parts. Both places usually sells to the trade but autoparts does some retail

I contacted 5 rv salvage yards and all of them didn't have the part. I was thankfull they got back to me.

On a whim i went back to rockauto and they now had my RR abs sensor listed for $80. Bought and on its way, should be here on Tuesday. Yah Hoo!!

I'll follow up once installed and i do a short drive to see if the dash ABS light goes off.

I got all 4 of mine from Rock Auto last summer. Was about $100 a wheel. Think the front were a few bucks more. I had 2 bad so just bit the bullet and got all of them.

For today everything is working.
