Monroe Gas Magnum Shocks

Just had a less than desirable experience with shocks on my 1997 Fleetwood F-53. 17000 miles ago I installed Monroe Gas Magnum shocks on both front and rear. I began to notice a roll and sway on any little change in road condition. Would enter the MH and it would rock from side to side. Removed the front shocks and you could push them in and out by hand like playing an accordion. Replace them with Koni and now the MH is back stable and the sway and rock has ceased. Will be replacing the rear ones next week. I guess I did not know Monroe shocks had such a short life span.

A year or so after we bought our 2000 coach we replaced the factory shocks with the Monroe Gas Magnum shocks and they seemed to work fairly well. Later though, like you, we installed the Koni FSD shocks on front suspension and immediately noticed a significant improvement in ride and handling.
