Hopefully that fixed the problem, if not look at your battery to frame grounding connection, I suspect that there is a bad ground connection somewhere, sometimes ther may be multiple ground connections that bond body parts to the frame in different locations.

Wiring

I was going to suggest checking all ground wiring and terminals as well. It wouldn’t be the first time that a terminal had corroded or pulled loose. Tug on them to see if they’re tight and unbolt and clean them if you suspect them.

Vacuum issue

The reason I say this is because you can avoid the issue by letting off the accelerator. What vacuum issue I have no clue.

The catalytic converter would be a suspect, it may be plugged

Being off the throttle could only be a difference because the engine is in a slightly different position due to the rubber engine mounts. It could also be because no current is flowing through the intermittently bad wire at the time.
The cats have nothing to do with this from the symptoms.

It’s definitely a wiring problem, like one of the previous poster said, wiggle everything all electrical plugs, junctions etc. it’s something in a circuit. If you can find out what causes the wrenc light to come on then go to that circuit and unplug and plug in the wires guaranteed you’ll find the problem.

And pulled the cable up in a different direction so it no longer comes in contact with that piece of metal.
Personally, I would get a piece a heavy rubber hose (heater hose) cut it a couple inches longer than the original rubber area, slit the hose and apply it over the rubber area. Secure with zip ties. I know you have rerouted the cable, but I am into "belts and braces" !

Highly unlikely based on symptoms.

Hopefully it was replaced with a genuine Ford part ! Fuel injection systems are very "picky" about certain parts, especially "critical" ones like MAF and HEGO.
