Flashing engine light indicates a more significant problem than a steady light. Odds are that it is a misfire in one or more cylinders caused by faulty spark plug wire(s). Ford’s vendor delivered deficient wires and they are failing from the engine heat. The replacement part is an improved design. It’s an easy repair - doesn’t even require any tools. Well, other than a computer to read the engine fault code.

Ford may replace all 8 plug wires or only the failed one(s) depending upon the date which the chassis was manufactured. If the later I suggest replacing the remaining wires even though you will have to pay out of pocket. It beats having the problem recur. The wires are not expensive - about $15 each at retail. Installation takes perhaps 15 minutes - just pull the old ones off and push the new ones on. You can see the plug wires looking in over the top of the front tire on the side of the engine - use a flashlight.

Steady CEL could be just about any of 100 + codes.

Flashing CEL , narrows it down , but not much , the vehicle should not have been driven any distance , as per the owners manual and the info from Coachnet.

Gas Cap Warning Light Gave me a message of a loose cap. Finally replaced cap.

Bluetooth Code Reader a little more but you can leave it plugged in and can access it from phone or laptop

Probably this TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...83414-0001.pdf

If you open the hood and do not see the big, square hole cut in the baffle on the passenger side of the radiator the TSB has not been accomplished.

That hole is about 11.5" by 11.5" so it should be quite obvious either way.
