Five days now without any activity on the FMCF, must be we're doing pretty well either not having any issues, or out on the road having a great time. Our status is the latter, now in TX for a spell then heading to Perry GA for the FMCA convention.

Wishing all safe travels, Jim

Hey Mike, thanks for the invite, I'll definitely look you up for a meet. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Bronzini of Brazel's and Justin of Koni while in Quartzsite, super nice folks. I'm very interested in checking out that UFO chassis, and I know that 8.1 is a great engine, but I've sure been happy with my old v10.

See you there, Jim

Jim,
I have been thinking about getting the Koni FSD's and replacing the Bilsteins. Any thoughts after talking to the Koni guys?

ISLAPP, Mike, I ordered a set from Justin and they were delivered just 2 days before we were to leave on our current trip. I installed them (FSD) on the front replacing my monroe gas magnums before we left and all I can say is WOW!!!! big difference. The monroe's were far superior than the factory shocks, but can't compare with the FSD's. It's rather difficult to describe the difference as you still feel it when going over expansion joints, chuck holes etc., but there's no harsh jolts as with my former shocks. I can't say enough about them. Cost $150 each, but well worth it. Just wish I knew about them and they were available 5 or 6 years ago.

Jim You only replaced the fronts? Now that you have them on, do you think you would do the backs?

Mike, sorry I forgot to mention, I had the back factory shocks replaced with the Koni adjustables back in March 2006 while at the Pomona FMCA convention, they were completely shot. I replaced my original factory front shocks on 08/17/01 at 12,738 miles with the monroe's, then on 03/26/06 at 42,996 miles I replaced the rear factory shocks with Koni adjustables #881653 by a Brazel's technician. On 01/22/07 at 46,144 miles I replaced the front monroe's myself with the Koni FSD's. I really didn't notice that big of a difference in the ride with the new rear Koni's, but my wife said she thought it rode better. However, with replacement of the front ones ride improvement was really noticable.

Jim, they make the FSD's for the rear also. Is there a reason to go with the adjustables rather than the FSD's? Or did you get the adjustables put on before the FSD's were available?

Mike, I believe that was the case as no mention was made by Jeff Brazel about FSD's at the time. Not sure when they became available. If I ever need to replace the rears again, it would be with the FSD's without hesitation.
