We drive 4500-5500 miles per year,so I change it once a year and use the recommended Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic blend. 6 qts with filter. I added the quick drain valve which lets me use a hose to drain it so it doesn't hit the axle beam.

I took the advice above and since I'm about 30 miles short of 35,000 miles I'm just going to change it every 5K. I used full synthetic (actually have been using that on everything I own for a few years now) and did install a Fumoto valve as you did to save time and cleanup. I'm good for drive back east now!

One other point I don't see here. Once you are over the warranty issue, I can recommend Blackstone Labs, for an oil analysis. Change it when the lab results say it needs changing.
PS. For my nickel, quality synthetic is the only way to go.

My 2016 chassis manual recommends 5W-30 Motorcraft semi synthetic every 7500 miles. Don't know when they changed the oil type. I had a Fumoto valve on our Cat, and it was the first addition to the Ford.

I generally change my oil between 3000 and 5000 miles. If it looks dark and dirty sooner is better. I use mobile one 5w30 or any good full synthetic oil and I also use mobile one oil filters.

I am planning to drain most of my transmission fluid and add new fluid. Is there a filter for the transmission internally?

Also plan to drain the rear differential fluid and refill.
I am a bit anal when it come to fluids.

I just installed my 5 star tune in the computer. I need to add my k & n cold air high flow intake tomorrow. Then I can test drive it. Just with the tune installed I could tell the throttle response is much improved. I may bust go for the headers kit and upgrade the shocks and sway bars next. Already installed a rear track bar and steering stabilizer.

I am thinking about doing the whole air intake, header package with 5 Star also. I've done all of the othet CHF (sort of an oxymoron) not really cheap. 🚍🤠
