oops, need help sourcing AND HWH AP8106 Control Box

yeah, I think I accidentally killed it doing some rewiring and forgot to disconnect the battery.

Not sure where to post the question as I'm sure this is a builder's installation not Ford. But it's for an HWH 610 system. Part number is AP8106. It's a long discontinued model in my '97 Rexhall.

I checked for one at HWH but they have a different compatibility replacement which requires new actuators. I sooo don't want to go that way. Is my best bet calling HWH to send it in and see if they can fix it? Other than replacing the board I don't see how, maybe replace a part or two on the board but dunno...

I'd suggest contacting M and M Electronics. They repair that kind of stuff.

thanks guys for those two sources. Will give them a call tomorrow. I'm still wrestling with mounting the new alternator...learning how to string together new cuss words while I'm at it.

you can send it to hwh to be rebuilt. they only charge for the parts used, labor and shipping.
send an email to service@hwh.com. include name, address, phone, vin number of chassis, brand and year. describe your problem.
they will contact you with a RGA number. return good authorization.
it takes around 3 to 4 weeks to get it back. the only price they can quote is for a new box, since they dont know what is wrong with yours.
many report a high level of satisfaction.
