Reset Oil Change Mileage

2019 F53 chassis - just did first oil change prepping for this year (if we ever get to go anywhere) and following the directions in the F53 Chassis owners manual - nothing works to reset the oil change mileage. Tried the process several times and nothing. Ignition on, depress brake / accelerator pedal, 3 secs reset in process supposed to appear, after 25 seconds, says complete, release pedals, turn ignition off. Too simple to work, or is the reset now on the dash with odometer buttons?? Should not be this difficult. Thx,

Check with Ford, they should know how to properly reset it. If you followed the Owner's manual and it does not work then check with them, it's their chassis.

Try pressing the brake and acc. pedals down first then turn the ignition on.

Did you keep the pedals fully pressed the entire 25 seconds? Did it do nothing no messages?

Well - did all the above, except calling Ford. Not going to worry about and will just do a paper record. Apparently, what is in the owner's manual does not work for MH's.

I don't like having things which don't work as they should.
There should be a contact number in the back of your owner's manual for Ford Customer Service. If you can find the number try giving it a call.

We don't use all these fancy electronic/menu reminders. We use good ol hand written maintenance logs on our Apple computer. 30 some odd pages so far.

You don't have to use them for them to be annoying when a message scrolls across your instrument panel and or lights flash on and off and you can't get them to reset.

Same for me my 2016 doesn't seem to have a reminder even though it is in the manual.

Well so much for searching first? The OP asked the exact question I have and I have done EXACTLY what he has done and I have the EXACT same issue.

I cannot believe there is no answer?

I changed oil today on 2019 F53. All went well, but tonight I try to reset the oil monitor. I assume I have one, but I change oil BEFORE it alerted me if there is one.

The manual describes what to do on page 95 but pressing brakes and accelerator does nothing. Surly someone know without the hassle of trying to call Ford or a Dealer?

Sorry that I can't remember the process, but I've reset several times on my 2018 Baystar. I used procedure from the Ford manual. I did make several attempts and finally made it work. Good luck!

(Sometimes) what they said is not what you thought you heard, or they wrote it wrong, and I have encountered egregious service manual errors.

Post got me curious so I read the manual, and went to the coach and tried it. First the information display never mentions oil. I just made a trip greater than the recommended 7500 mile oil change interval and never received a warning.

Holding down the brake and accelerator for up to a minute does nothing, so I believe there is no oil warning (F53 2019).
The manual also states there is a buzzer if the lights are left on. I have proven many times that is also not true.
