Roadmaster SB Change?

I just received a new roadmaster SB for the 18K chassis from etrailer. To my surprise, the sway bar has a single link hole on each side as opposed to 2 link holes. Every picture I have ever seen shows a roadmaster front SB with 2 holes. Anyone else seen this single hole version?

Reply with the part number you ordered, the year, make and model of your chassis. It's great you provided you have an F53 18K chassis, need more information

I'm confused. The OP indicates in his profile, he has a Micro Minnie 2016DS, which is a travel trailer. Without more info, can't help.

The Hellwig aftermarket front sway bar for the 18K chassis also only has one hole. It wouldn't surprise me if the Roadmaster bar actually comes from the same fabricator. It can't be easy to form this big steel with such limited sales numbers.

There is a clearance issue with the transmission lines that could possibly rub the tip of the Hellwig bar on the right side on the 18k chassis. I zip-tied a short piece of rubber hose on the line to prevent friction damage if they should ever meet during movement.

I installed the Hellwig as was slightly less expensive. Couldn't be happier, really made a huge difference. The upgraded hardware makes the OEM bar look like a toy by comparison. Plus you get new huge poly bushings and synthetic grease.

This roadmaster SB looks a lot like the Hellwig SB so you may be right. I installed it yesterday and it is a big improvement over the CHF (with Tejay plates) that I was using. The transmission lines must be run differently on my Vista than what you have. There is no danger of the SB making contact with those or anything else.

I don't think RoadMaster bars are made by Hellwig. Back around 2003 RoadMaster bought part of the IPD company. RoadMaster now makes sway bars for RV's while IPD still makes them for automobiles.

We bought an IPD sway bar for our 2001 Winnebago Adventurer. Only a few months after we bought it RoadMaster announced they were acquiring IPD. At first I thought they were acquiring the entire company, but later found out it was only the portion that made sway bars for RV's
