Ok more info on the "O" not zero ! Its the designation for the assembly plant that made the chassis ( Detroit Chassis Plant). The "A" designates the production run sequence followed by the numeric run.

Actually, unless the VIN Guide.pdf is incorrect, it is a 0 (Zero). If you look at all the single character codes on it, nowhere is the letter "O" used. You are correct about Detroit Chassis Plant.
