What are these sounds?

I am working on an electrical issue but I don't need to talk about that in this thread. I just wanted to know what a couple of sounds might mean as this is my first F53. It is a 2006 chassis.

Sound 1: The key is not in the ignition. You put your foot on the brake pedal and there is this fairly loud lower pitch whine that continues as long as your foot is on the brake. Is this normal? Perhaps associated with the power brakes?

Sound 2: (This is not normal) intermittently, when my coach is turned off and no key in the ignition, there are random beeps and clicking sounds coming from the driver dash area. To stop this while camping I usually disconnect the battery ground.

thanks very much for any ideas,

Sound 1: That would be the backup pump for your HydroMax power brakes. The power brake boost is supplied by the power steering pump when the engine is running. When the engine is not running, there is an electric motor that provides the boost. You can see the motor in the attached drawing on the bottom of the master cylinder. To verify, find the motor under the hood and have someone press on the brake pedal. You should be able to feel the motor running.

Sound 2: I have no idea...

Noise #2 may be your isolation solenoid kicking in to top off the chassis battery.

My Thor clicks, powers up the Scan Gauge II, and lights a small dash light, for a few seconds, when the BIM connects.
