Where is the low pressure cutoff switch on my motor home?

Hi,
I have a 1987 class c built on a e-350 chassis with a carbureted 460. It has factory air and when I turned it on , it turned on the compressor but didn’t get cold. when I checked the pressures, it was empty. I immediately shut it off and added some Freon. Now it works, but I’m bothered that it even turned the compressor on with no Freon! Where would the low pressure switch be on this chassis? I’m guessing that it’s jumpered or bad but I can’t find it. Any help is greatly appreciated
Thx
Bruce

It does not take much pressure to engage the switch. On my class A DP the compressor would still engage but like you, no cold air. Again, like you, dumped a few cans of Freon in it and it blows like the artic winds!

With one that old, soap bubble test all hoses/ fittings; but switch should be on Low side (larger pipe/ hose going to compressor from coil. Also look for wires?
