Broken wire at rear of 2003 HR Ambassador
Need urgent info: have been prepping my 2003 Holiday Rambler Ambassador with Roadmaster chassis and Cummins pusher....on RIGHT side of engine compartment directly next to the powersteering canister, are 2 solenoids with what appear to be high pressure lines coming INTO them....wire to one of those is rotted off/broken. Are these possibly the airpressure relief solenoids? I will try to attach photos
[Mod Edit]
NOTE: the high pressure tubing comes straight UP from each of the solenoids..but I cannot seem to trace where it goes to....
Please feel free to direct text me @--603-300-6710 as this is somewhat of an urgent plea as we are supposed to be on the road on Monday...
Thanks...

Those solenoids look like "air" solenoids. Maybe for 'dumping the air bags" before leveling. Are there any Coach (air related) functions not working?

as far as i can tell, everything has been working...but note that this is a "new" rig to us, and there are a lot of operational things the dealer did NOT know about......he had it on consignment.....
as for dumping airbags prior to leveling, that was NOT something he suggested or mentioned. Luckily we found all the original books and manuals stuffed in a cabinet so I will look that up ASAP...
Thanks

X2 I think these Air Dump solenoid
You can test by having someone stand at the back of the rig and someone press the air dump switch located on the dash or side console. When you do this the coach should lower evenly front and back. There are 2 in the rear and probably one for the front located on the fire wall (this is how my coach is set up). I have a 15 amp fuse located in my front drivers side electrical bay.

Agreed air dump it can only release air the way it's done. Radwell supply has Kip inc valves that usually means OEM Co. went out of business Norgren probably bought out. Here's 1st one I found 12v and 1/4" you may be able to get NOS on eBay or even just a coil.

Hi John, those two solenoids are for the right rear and left rear air bags. When you push the air dump switch on the dash, it energizes these two valves in the rear and one in the front.
Once energized, the internal valve opens letting the air out of all the air bags, albeit slowly, through those hard plastic (nylon) hoses you see. You also can see the brass fitting with the sintered bronze mesh that lets air out and keeps critters from building nest in the cavity.
They each have two wires to be connected to 12 volts and ground. Either wire can go to either 12v or ground. It doesn’t matter.
In the pictures you can see one wire coming from the coach connected to two wires going to the solenoids. And another connected to two more wires. The wires from the coach are the 12v and ground.
I can’t see the bad area you are talking about, but if you have enough slack, you can trim them back and reconnect. If it is close to the solenoid, you can tape it or use liquid tape to insulate it until you can replace one or both.
There are two screws in the bottom of each, coming up through the bracket to which they are mounted.

I agree with above two dump solenoids ,should be easy to test with a helper ,aired up have them push dump button. Reparable unless rotted right off at the sealed coil. I'm a fan of soldering and glued heat shrink tubing or heat shrink butt connectors.
