Don't know if this will help you but I had a similar problem on my class C. Turned out problem was two fold. 1st, one corner of the steel frame (the part behind the molding) was separated at the corner & 1 tip was hanging just a little on the frame. I fixed that by riveting a backing plate behind the corner.
2nd, the inverter & converter were damaged by a thunderstorm while plugged into shore power. The batteries were carrying too much of the current w/ little help from the convertor. It would go out fine but would start-stop when coming in. I could get it in by pushing & releasing the button. After the convertor & inverter it now works as it should.
