Tandd --

Us folks with Freightliner Custom Chassis have oil filled front hubs so can't help you much with your question. I didn't realize Holiday Rambler used grease filled front hubs until seeing your post and looking at your owner's manual which is available from the HR website --> https://www.holidayrambler.com/owner.../owner-manuals

When I have questions such as yours, I call Newmar's Customer Service Department and they are very responsive and very good for providing the parts information I need.

Have you tried contacting HR for part numbers and potentially purchasing parts from HR --> https://www.irv2.com/forums/f24/fron...ce-530634.html

Do you have an HR dealer near you that could also provide part numbers / parts you need?

I set them up like all other OTR trucks.

Torque the inner nut to 200 ft/lbs. while rotating.

Back off one turn.

Retorque to 50 ft/lbs.

Back off 1/2 turn.

Install lock ring and outer nut and torque to spec. Usually around 250-300 ft/lbs for 2-5/8" and smaller nuts and over that 350-400 ft/lbs.

Lastly and in my opinion most important, put a dial indicator on it and you should have between .001"-.005" end play. I generally shoot for closer to .002"-.003" total end play.

Agree, the highlighted is the most important.

No mine has oil bath. I've service both and the spec's are the same regardless of the choice of lubricants.
