Fuel Level Sender

2004 HR Ambassador, fuel guage off scale high. Planning to replace the sender. From this forum, I've determined it's a Centroid, they're closed for the holidays, will order Tues. I've cleaned it, marked the clock position, removed and labeled each wire, removed the 5 screws, but it's in there solidly. It looks like it sits on a cork gasket.

Do I pry it loose or is it threaded into the tank?

I've tried to attach a photo called Sender1.

May have brown Permatex sealant on the cork, Don't know the solvent (alcohol?). Glad you clocked it, otherwize one might have trouble puttin' the new one in (on my boat, now how do I know that?) Good luck.

Yeah. You just need a thin chisel or putty knife or gasket scraper to tap under the flange. it should break free pretty easily.
