We live in the sacramento area too, haven't found any clubs yet but try to go out in our motorhome as much as possible. Try to do at least two weekends a month, always nice to meet people. Next trip is to Bryce and Zion starting next week. Pm us if you want to try to go to the same place sometime.

Check for Good Sam chapters, likely there are multiples with differing interest and focus. Same for FMCA groups.

Lightbulb Membership Help

We are in preparation of becoming Full Timers. A few years ago we purchased a C2C membership in Dahlonega GA thinking we would use it and get "in the groove" of RVing. We soon found out the membership was a scam. I don't think C2C is but these resorts can be. That was 5700 dollars ripped from our upcoming lifetstyle. I did find a man who, thank the Lord, helped me get out of the campground buy got our money back. Feel free to email me if you are in the same situation. It almost turned us on RVing.

Anyway from you other Full Timers out there, what are some of the clubs/memberships we should be joining. We plan to see the lower 48, but are wanting to take our time and see what there is to see in every state. I don't need the park like setting from C2C resorts, although occasionally that would be fun. But we want nature, forests, beach, lakes everything this beautiful country has to offer.

One thing that really touched us, we loved the freedom when RVing, but we met some of the best people ever while camping. We can't wait to meet you guys in the future, and this time we plan to carry a "buddy log" of everyone we meet.

Thanks in advance

We use RPI similar to Coast to Coast typically 10-13 dollars a night for up to 14 nights overall we are happy, yes you will find some of the parks are duds but It has saved us thousands over the last 4 years. We had Thousand trails zone camping but were not impressed, many did not even have full hookups. We also boondock and use passport america. If you find a park you want to stay at ask about the monthly rate and stay for a month usually much cheaper than the day to day rate. We are currently at a park high on a mountain ridge with a stunning view in southern california 130.00 for 13 nights (RPI).
