Well, depending on how far and how long you are willing to be on the road, you are in some of the most amazing landscapes and geology on the planet. You need to provide more detail about what kind of "must see/experiences" you want to see and how you plan to see them.
- Boondocking? Wow - endless remote, private places to see.
- No boondocking? Lots of campgrounds near National Parks all over the place north and west of you.
- Night life? Las Vegas is the easy answer, but there are plenty of places for good 'ol line dancing, drinking, and suit and tie and high heels joints, too. What do you like to do?
- Museums? Everything from major exhibits of Native American masterpieces to small towns with gold rush memorabilia and rodeo items are available.
A suggestion - Get an AAA membership. Then get all the tour books (free with membership) for the places you may travel through and read them for places that interest you.. Coordinate these places with campsite directories to see if your RV, 5'er, or travel trailer can hook up nearby.
The north and west of Tucson is the quintessential "wide open space" in the USA and the possibilities are truly endless. Unless you narrow down your request for help you will get suggestions from Denali to Sedona, and everything in between and alongside, too. Good luck.
P.S. - Yellowstone!
