Passport America.. worth it?

Sure 25 bucks a year is great ... if you travel much it’s a no brainer. We don’t use it as a destination park. It isn’t meant to be used that way! It’s a quick overnight deal, restrictions are generally that it’s only mid week only , no weekend of holiday .. We find we can’t always use it but the few times we can it pays for itself. When I look at the area we will stop for the day I always check to see if a pa park is near and what it’s restrictions are .. they are listed for ea park if you read.
Since I stop travel by 4 pm I don’t Walmart much ( not that I haven’t ) and PA offers hookups , generally a pull thru in a “ok” park. I’m not there for the amenities. Happy hour, dinner , news , movie ,sleep, breakfast and gone. 15-25 bucks for the night vs 30-50 or more. What’s not to like?

At $$22 a year I decided to join. I looked over about 20 campgrounds or so and saw the quality of some was subpar and read some of the restrictions, weekends, holidays, special events, most are December - April no discount, more than 5 or 7 nights straight etc...... At this price I will give it 5 years. I do prefer the resorts which are like motorcoach resorts if I stay a while but at $22 bucks it's worth a shot I guess.

We bought a 1 year membership to try out. Have been unable to find a place in Florida that takes the discount during the winter months.

There are many, many blackout dates. Often only good for a few months in the year. We are members, but have seldom used it. Probably will not renew. I use their trip planner, but RV Wizard is better for that.

You will then get neve ending junk mail trying to get you back.

It took me about 4 years to get off their mailing list.
