Make sure you do a RV Park Review and check exceptions (rules) before going to any PA park. Many have low ratings. Most are no where we go. We do like their paper directory.

I did not renew because I have never been able to use it. Very few parks accept the card.

So all the parks they have listed don't accept the card?

We found for one night and if it's in the season they offer the discount we had good luck. But many of the CG's are not stellar.

For us we are looking for an inexpensive one-nighter while traveling, vs some parking lot.

They don't accept it all the time. There are a lot of exceptions.

I joined for 1 year and could never use it. It took me 10 years after that to get off their mailing list.

It has worked for us. Some nice parks in the PNW for hunting and fishing.

We pay for the membership in just two overnight stays....if you stay on the road months at a time getting this is a no brainer.

If you are really picky about where you go and only travel a few weeks a year, skip it.

We have a PA membership and it's worked extremely well for us. While most of the campgrounds they partner with have restrictions, we typically use a PA campground for a quick overnight stop while traveling during the week and only rarely have a problem with availability.

Six years ago I did a 6000 mile, three-week road trip and the membership proved to be of real value. However I was traveling off season (late September into October) and doing overnights during the week.

Since then I was never able to use it, even in September as there were too many restrictions, and not enough campgrounds, so I dropped my membership last year.

We got it once and only, for a trip back in 2018 because my cousin was joining us from Ireland for 3 weeks and we wanted to locate for 3 days here and there in CG's for her comfort.

Firstly we checked which areas we were traveling to that had available PA CG's available. It paid for itself and saved us some good dollars or at minimum made the rack rate more reasonable to stay - Especially twice at Oasis Las Vegas Resort first week and last week where she flew in and out of.

Alas, that Oasis LV resort we noticed hasn't been offered on PA for a while now. We also noticed a few other good ones we had our eyes on weren't offered any more. We've not had reason to renew for it to be of benefit for us since.

I'm thinking the worthwhile CG's based on current demands don't feel the need to offer a deep discount any more and are no longer with PA.

As the demand versus supply changes downward, especially in out of season areas, this could all very well change in future years again. So worth revisiting for areas you might be interested in from time to time in the future.

Happy Travels.

Thanks for all the replies. They are offering 5 years for $125. Does that make it any better? TIA

I would do it. I am not a fan of PA. We had it for three years and used it a couple of times with over 75K miles so it paid for itself. During any sort of peak times it will be useless. I always checked reviews on Allstays before I booked. some can be subpar.
