Thousand trails rig size and amps?

New to the form and RV's...

For those of you who have been TT members. If you were looking for a rear hitch travel trailer to best take advantage of TT parks what size would be ideal? Are a lot of people having problems getting spots due to length or is it 50 amp that's the problem? (assuming you have full membership and can book 120 days out)

Would 33ft/30 amp cause frustration getting full hookup spots(if I find a older 30A rig in this range)? Would 25 or 26 feet with slide outs and 30 amp make getting full hookup spots a lot easier? (just one person full timing)

As for a motorcycle. Will a street legal motorcycle brought in in the back of pickup, unloaded and used be free? Or will this be a billable second vehicle? In public campgrounds this has never been an issue. But from what I have read TT seems to like fees..

Thanks

Most confident drivers I know with 40' fifth wheels and class As have no issues finding sites at TT parks. The worst I know of is LV, where it is tight enough that you may have to ask a few people to move their cars to wiggle into your space. I don't see how you would have any issues with a 33' or shorter TT, assuming you are comfortable driving it.

While 50A sites at TT are sometimes rare or competitive to find, I wouldn't rule out a 50A rig. Just know your limitations when plugged into 30A service and in the future, consider investing in a solar/hybrid inverter setup that allows you to supplement the 30A service to run more loads.

We travel with two vehicles and our fifth wheel. Never been charged additional fees, but have had to use overflow parking a couple times. With a motorcycle, that shouldn't be an issue.

The problem is 50 amp sites. Some campgrounds have very few 50 amp sites available and you do NOT reserve a site. It is first come first park system at Thousand Trails.
For example here at Wilmington there are 5 50 amp sites. Four are taken by seasonal and out of these 4 1 is here daily. Two of the 4 only come out once a year, the other just 8-10 times a year.
The other day TT tried to upgrade 6 more sites to 50 amp from 30 amp, we have only been in this park for 17 years, and first I have seen upgrades without something being broke first. Guess what could NOT do it because of a broken cable in the power source so right now we still have 30 amp service. It cost $800/site to change out the power boxes but with the broken cable it can not work on 50 amp.
To get it repaired it has to be approved by Corporate Office for the cost. I do not believe it will be approved any time soon, because they will say you still have 30 amp service, no different than before changing the boxes, but we should see.
