I am considering posting a similar thread, but fyi I have a true audiophile system in our rig. We full time and the system, turntable and record collection in the S&B was far too big for the rig.
Being a tube fan from way back, but boondocking alot so needed a low power draw amp. The amp I chose is a Leben CS600, powering Audio Note An-J SPX speakers (which are designed to be set close to the wall). My source is a Lumin S1 digital player. and 8TB NAS for storage. Wires are Audience AU24SX. I also have a PS Audio Stellar P3 power generator to deal with the lousy power in many parks.
It is not perfect, (it never is), but the soundstage is very nice, extending beyond the speakers and far deeper than the wall. Bass is plentiful (too much so at certain frequencies), not down to the lowest octave, but quite nice. The tubes are fine when travelling (components and speaker stands are on Iso Acoustics footers), and we put the speakers in the bedroom for driving.
A whole other topic is the project of ripping all my records to digital and retaining the quality. It cost quite a bit of upfront funds but my rips are very very good.
