The problem I have is that I start a project then get side tracked on another.
I've been on this one for almost 20 yrs.

Man I wish I never saw this thread. I've built modified and drag raced since the 60s. We retired and went full-time almost 3 years ago when we sold the house and everything in it my shop went with it. I sold all of my equipment, tools, tool boxes, even my lift. I was in the middle of updating my 64 nova just installed tube front clip and 383 stroker and 700r4 trans. New glass front fenders, bumpers and glass trunk lid. My son is storing it in his shop but I haven't touched it since we hit the road. Son still drag races but work and family keep him to busy to help . Helped son and grandson both build there first hot rods in that shop, my 64 nova was my sons first car, grandsons fist car was 72 nova. Anyway wish we had some kind of group of rvers here that could help each other with keeping our hot rods going . The hot rod and rv communities are very similar, helpful and talkative. Good talk i feel a little better.

I'm building a 1950 Willys wagon hotrod. It has a 6.2l LS motor, 9" Ford diff, and Mustang II front suspension. Just barely got it running and driving. Interior is next.

Always loved going fast and nice cars. So much I owned a shop where we were building cars for a few years. These were the last 4 that I built(with help) and raced, they were all street legal. I had a stock GN with a few bolt ons when I picked up another that was pretty beat which ended up with twin 76MM turbos on a 421 SBC and lots of other upgrades. The Vega was just a 350SBC with a 150 shot of Nitrous and lots of traction.

Been a gearhead my whole life. Dad was a mechanic / gearhead so I've always been around it. I've built several cars from the ground up for myself, but have had my hands on many, many others cars, bits, pieces, etc. I've always built both "restoration" and race, engines, transmissions, rear end set-ups etc. Body, paint, wiring, etc, I do it all. The last 20 years or so, I've done a ton of fabrication work for my many drag racing friends, everything from custom bent roll cages to complete cars including fuel injection tuning and track-side set up. I've kinda "retired" doing work for other people now. I'm currently rebuilding a boat and starting to get the itch to build a street driver for Me.

Just finished my 5 year project. Next up, I'm looking for a 1960 El Camino. It was my first car I paid $50 for.

Three years on a 64 & 1/2 Barracuda which I sold for my daughters 1st year of college. 64 Corvair, 37 Chevy steel body street rod, 70 Malibu barn find with 10,000 original miles. Wish I still had the Plymouth. That was a great daily driver.

Here's my '66 Mustang.
The first car I ever drove. My Dad bought in'75 for my sister & I to drive to school.
...we hated it.
We wanted a Celica.
He paid $150 bucks for it. Needed a transmission.
Restored it back in '94 and used it a a daily driver for over 10 years.
Since my Dad owned a salvage yard, I upgraded every part I could that was a bolt-on swap with more modern Ford technology:
100A Lincoln alternator
Granada disc brakes and rear axle
Dual piston mst cyl.
AOD out of a Crown Vic
Electronic ignition
Made a dual vibration damping driveshaft using a '68 Mustang tele tube with a Ranger harm balancer front yoke. Smooth.
Also upgraded to:
Shelby sway bars & gas shocks
All poly bushings in the suspension
4 core rad & elec fan
EOC & TOC
Currently building a '65 fastback into a fake Shelby.

The 65 still has R12 in the factory AC. Im the 3rd owner.
The 67 was a hodgepodge of parts cars when I got it. Its ready to be reassembled.
Both of these cars are zero rust survivors.
