Any way to find rv camping with fishing nearby?

Is there any app or internet site that might list rv camp grounds with fishing right near by? Would like to plan my trips so as to take in fishing at each point. Catfishing to trout, ocean shore fishing, all are good.
What does the traveling rabble out there do to accomplish this? :-)

Looking at Del Rio, TX , Lake Amistad this winter

Around here the hard thing to do is find an RV campground without fishing, that is excluding those places that cater to long term residents.

While those of you that have a local knowledge of fishing concomitant with local rv parks its kind of difficult to decipher from 2000 miles away, never having been there.

With fishing being one of the most sought after pass times in the US maybe we in the RV world need to find a way to log good fishing RV parks for our own use?

No licence required when fishing from shore in Texas State Parks. Also by boat in some.

check out these 70 parks

sharing

The answer to finding good places to fish is to share, join a local club that brings in experts to pitch their skills and fishing grounds. In the SF Bay area there are several fly fishing groups. It also helps to go and tell.

So, on with the telling .....

Yellowstone, the Madison and others - investigate outside the West side, but the cost is supposed to be less inside.

The world of Montana has lots of fishing - look at the Flathead river including the middle fork that's not too far from Glacier.

The streams of Colorado - pick a campground near and go dip your line - everyone fishes the deep pools, but fish live in all types of water - a learning opportunity.

The California coast rivers for steelhead, the North rivers for trout, the delta for stripers and shad - try the Northern Sacramento, the little places off 395 and the Meadows in Yosemite. But that barely scratches the options.

We came across a group fly fishing around one of the covered bridges in the North East. Bet you could do that too.

The White river in Arkansas is highly recommended but we did not have time to investigate.

And, and, and - look at the COE parks on lakes - look at state parks on lakes.

Might be easier the other way around. Find a fishing spot and then find a campground or boondocking spot nearby. Harder to find info on fishing an area than it is to find info an camping in an area, generally anyway. So locate a good lake, river or beach, then find a spot to camp.

I have noticed that state parks often of access to fishing water. That is the primary purpose of some state parks. Some even have good info on fishing.

Affording a license in each state is the hard part. Non-resident licenses are obscenely expensive...at least out west. Glad to see TX has the right idea.
