P.S.- Never mind, I found it! https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/
Also the B4Ufly app on your cell phone will show on a map where you can fly based on your location.

I believe DJI drones will not fly if it is in a no fly zone.

That is the way it should be! Though you can get limited special permission.

"The first hurdle is how your inputs reverse when you are coming toward you."

I found that if you turn your back to the drone when it is flying towards you, the controls will not be reversed. Looking over your shoulder, if you want it to go right give the control to go right

The SG906 Pro has what they call a "headless mode". I haven't read up on that feature yet but I wonder if it will correct that problem?

Correct, the DJI phantom that I have will not fly in no fly zones. If you are close to one, it will fly, but warn you that you are close.

Many brands have the "Headless" mode: push the stick left and the drone moves left, no matter which way it's facing. I don't know if my brain is wired differently or what, but the one time I tried headless mode on my SJRC F11 was the only time I flew it into the back wall of my house. Flying it in "regular" mode I have no problem with directions!

I can see how it would take some getting used to! I'll try it and see what happens!

I almost bought the SJRC F11 before deciding on the SG906 Pro. How do you like it?

I haven't had the opportunity to play with it lately, but it is a pretty nice unit. It has a "beginner" mode that limits its range and that caught me by surprise when I tried out the "Follow Me" mode - I walked about 30 yards across a field and then the drone took off back to its launch point!

Congratulations, that wasn’t too bad of a wait.

Find a nice open area to try it in first.

Do read the manual first so you know what the various flight modes are and how they are activated.

Let us know how you like it!

I flew it yesterday in the back yard! Yeah, I know, not a good idea, but I kept it low and slow and was prepared to cut the power if anything went wrong,

It flies like a dream! I pressed the auto take-off button and it rose to about 3' and hovered, waiting for my directions! I played with the simplest functions for a while, getting the feel of it. It is incredibly stable. Just hovers in the same position until I tell it to do something else!

I found out that my old I-Phone 5 is not fully compatible with it so I'm shopping for a new phone. My son uses the Motorola G7 and loves it. It's much less expensive than an I-Phone.

Joe, make sure whatever phone you buy is compatible. My Moto 6 was not compatible with my Mavic Mini drone. I bought a Samsung S-10e. Cheaper than the high end Samsungs but still in their first tier grouping.
I bought mine from Best Buy which has a I believe 30 day return policy but you loose 40 bucks.

For DJI the Chinese Company that makes my drone there is a web site that lists compatible phones.
I'm still getting use to the controller functions. Before I feel totally comfortable I want to be able to fly it towards me without making an improper input and without looking at the controller. That will take some practice.
The camera is so good I can see myself and bring it back as long as I don't get to far away.
The flying app has a drone orientation display that shows where the drone is in relation to you and it's direction. That helps too. Mine is so small you loose sight of it when it gets 300 ft away.

They are very cool. I hope to get some good pics this summer in Michigan if I don't loose it first.

Great news.

Now you can practice taking pictures and finding out how the camera gimbal works.

Yes, new phones are expensive. I had my iPhone 5 till last fall then bought two new iPhone 11’s. Pat had a 6 but they where getting to the end of there life.

Take a few pictures and post them as I am really curious how good the camera stabilization is.
