It's going to be a while before any significant work is done to it, it is a "back-burner, do when there's nothing else" project. I forgot the name of the motor home, when they get to the point in their lives when they are considered "parts", the brand is not really relevant. It's more along the lines of going and seeing if a part off the wreck will fit something roadworthy.

What is the exterior skin of the Spartan? Steel or Aluminum? That MH looks like the one that in the movie "RV". It is classy is an weird sort of way. To have lasted this long it has to be build like a brick you know what.

It is steel and aluminum, with the exception of the interior furnishings. I haven't pulled up the floor covering yet to see what is beneath it.

Since there haven't been anything "new" about this motor home, I thought I'd let you know what has happened.
First, and most important for the person that owns this motor home, is he is going through something of a crisis, and rehabbing this motor home is probably the last thing he's thinking about.
Second, while less important for him, I have relocated all the way across the country, and gone to work for another RV shop on the East coast. That makes it tough to post updates about it...(duh)...
So, while there are still plans in place to perform the work on this unit, it has at least for the time being, been not only put on the back burner, the burner has been turned off.
I hope the next service manager at the shop I worked will pick up where I left off, and continue posting updates about it. I do know they know about this forum and this thread.

I feel his pain....sadly, restoration of my "fun" car is on the back burner.

Good luck in your new position here on the east coast!

You've definitely got to keep us up to date on this. Sounds too cool and then some. I can't imagine that all that work will come 'cheap'.
