Electronic squealing noise in cockpit

We have a 2017 Entegra Cornerstone and today about 2 hours into our trip, the coach developed a squealing noise that sounds like an electronic part starting to fail. The sound stops when we stop, but starts back up shortly after leaving. The sound is deafening to the point of having to use ear plugs. It sounds like it's coming from the area by my left foot behind a panel. Ideas anyone? [emoji848]

If the noise is only when the coach is in gear ; best guess is a "park brake on "switch failure .

The warning buzzer is trying to tell you to release the brake and they are , loud and annoying for a reason . It's a safety feature.
And the buzzer is hidden so it's hard to find and disconnect. So the safety warning can't be ignored.

Thanks a bunch, I will take the panel off tomorrow and try to find it. Any idea where or what it looks like?

Some coaches ; depending on the chassis ; the switch is part of the " park brake control " on the dash .

Does the buzzer stop when you shift to neutral ?

Maybe a call to coach builder is in order .

It could be much easier than that, might want to try this one first!

Have you checked to see if your backup camera has volume? Mine did and it was driving me crazy making a noise very similar to the sound you describe. The volume somehow was turned up and was picking up outside noise.

Check this one out....might save you a bunch of time!

Paul
I turned everything off one at a time while we were having the problem until I had all electronics off, but still had the high pitch sound. I plan to gain access to the area in question and have a look for something obvious. If I don't find anything, I'll call Spartan for troubleshooting help. Thanks for the suggestion.

I suspect you'll get more cogent advice from the Entegra forum, warning buzzers would installed by the coach mfgr.

I called Spartan and asked what could cause this. I was informed that without being at a facility that could check the ECM for codes, (which I did with my Bluefire adapter and found none), and it was still alarming, any bodies guess as to for sure what it was. Spartan wagered a guess that since we had been driving in VERY heavy rains, a connector could have gotten wet shorting out a sensor, causing the alarm.

A few days after the we parked, we hit the road again with no alarms. Yeah! Through deduction, it must have been the moisture, but now the worry of the next bad rain day. After we get home, I plan to check all the connectors in the generator compartment at the front of the coach.

I hope it never happens again! [emoji53]
